Want To Get In Shape Like Malaika Arora? Actress Spills The Beans On Her Favourite Workout And Confesses Eating Avocados As Well As Biryani
Malaika Arora who advocates fitness and healthy eating for the right balance of mind and body, shares her fitness secrets with her readers
Bollywood diva Malaika Arora has been admired for her fit physique and healthy lifestyle. Seen advocating eating right and working out to lead a healthy life, in conversation with IANSlife, the actress has given out her secret of a healthy lifestyle. The actress starts her day by stretching her muscles by practising yoga and then setting out for various fitness activities ranging from HIIT, walking, running, swimming and more. But the actress feels walking for at least 30 minutes regularly is of utmost importance.
Expressing Yoga being her favourite form of workout, she dedicates 60 minutes daily for her workout session. Gushing about the benefitting from just walking she said, “Walking is a risk-free form of exercise that helps you to maintain your overall health. When I feel I have put on a little weight, I feel walking is an effective way to reduce that weight and I have also seen a lot of toning in my legs and overall body while I indulge in walking as a regular fitness exercise.”
The actress doesn't skip her fitness regime even when she travels as according to her it helps her get inner peace and a positive outlook. Rocking a sultry hot figure isn’t easy and when asked how important does diet play in life. She responded that to have the right kind of balance in body and mind, one needs to eat right.
“For achieving a fit body and mind, I believe eating right is the best way to maintain your health. The balance should be 30 per cent exercise to 70 per cent diet to achieve the body you wish for. If one wishes to follow a particular and strict diet, then they should always consult a doctor or a trainer and set up a diet best suited for their body,” says Malaika. However, she doesn’t believe in being hard on herself by following a strict diet. She confesses to eating avocados as well as biryani. Malaika says, “I keep making changes in my diet to see what really suits my body and provides the maximum benefits. Adding further she said, “I don't believe in dieting as I eat what my body demands and what my mind desires, of course in moderation. When asked what advice she has for her readers, she replied, “Each individual has their own fitness goals which they want to achieve.
